Making a big decision, one like selling real estate is never easy. This is always a serious step and it’s best to have someone you can trust guiding you throughout the process. SJ. Novak is eager to support you during your journey - from the beginning to closing the deal.
Some people think that choosing a large franchise or a dedicated large Commercial or Luxury Real Estate Brokerage to sell their property will yield better results than choosing a Seller's Specialist firm like SJ Novak Realty. What most don't realize is that a group of elite dedicated professionals like us with decades of experience in high end sales will almost always outperform those large firms. Remember, many of us here have worked for those large firms and know how they operate. We have access to the same tools that they do, and use innovative proprietary methods that they don't have in their arsenal to sell your property. We have obtained record sale prices for clients in a short period of time only to have the same clients reject those prices, let the listing expire, choose another agency and end up selling at a much lower price. While this has happened on only a tiny fraction of our deals (four to be exact) in the past twenty two years, it's still wasted money. Sadly it cost those clients hundreds of thousands of dollars. If you had a chance to read my bio on the home page you will know that I have been a team leader at two of those franchises. I have been a director at a large commercial firm in Manhattan. What you may not know is that I have turned down offers of partnerships at such firms. I find their policies rigid and their sales staffs vary from experienced agents to newbies and part time agents negotiating their first deals. I on the other hand have been selling high ticket items since age sixteen. At sixty six years young that gives me fifty years of sales and more importantly negotiating experience. My support staff is headed by an MBA. I am not averse to hiring people that are better suited to specific jobs than I am. By owning my own firm I found out that I can outsell the average agent by a factor of ten. As a Broker/Owner I have unlimited flexibility in doing what whatever it takes to sell your property. My firm and it's clients are simply better off with me taking the lead sales role. I have a hand in every single transaction at SJ. Novak.
Many agents say that they have a "Passion for Real Estate." I can't say that per se. What I can honestly say is that I have a passion for helping people. I have helped retirees maximize their retirement nest egg. I have helped people make enough extra money on a sale to purchase a much needed new vehicle or help them fund their children's college fund. I have even helped people sell their old house and make enough extra to move up to their forever dream home. On the commercial side of the industry I help people choose the right investment properties to generate passive and semi-passive income. I have worked with engineering firms and real estate attorneys as a land specialist to obtain change of use zoning modifications. So yes, helping people succeed is my passion! Real estate is just a means to and end, and something that my skill set is well-suited to.
